My Space. My Thoughts. Review

December 26th, 2009 xace 2 comments

Do you ever have times infront of the computer when you do not know what to surf?

Let me introduce you to a blog I happened to come across, My Space. My Thoughts. by Himmat Singh. What is this blog about? Anything under the sun! From movie reviews to anything political.

I especially like how the author writes every single one of his post. Rich in content I would say. The layout itself is neat, doesn’t really look messy. Well, you have to see it to know whether you will like it!

However, there are some things regarding the blog that I think could be improved on. Firstly, the header. I find that the header is something that can be improved on instead of mere text. A good header would definitely attract the audience when they first enter the blog. Secondly, the colours of the site itself. I find that the colour combination doesn’t justify such a wonderful blog. It will be best if the colours are kept simple.

Overall, I recommend this blog to anyone who wants to have a good read after a tiring day :) It’s always great to know what’s happening around the world.

Review of Political Friends

July 8th, 2009 sumanbolar No comments

Any blog that discusses politics will find it very hard to remain unbiased. It’s simply the nature of the beast.

Political Friends is no exception.

Although the blog covers world events, the content is U.S.-centric in that it explores how such events could affect America’s foreign policy or interests.

While the author does make a very real effort to “discuss topics of the day without the name calling that seems everywhere in the mainstream media”, his own political views often come to the fore, and you may not always agree with them. That said, if you’re one of those people who’s open to other points of view, it makes an interesting read for an insight into the views of an ordinary American. In responding to comments, the author seems polite and tolerant of dissent. Lots of book recommendations too.

The blog is well-written, seems to be updated regularly, and is obviously a labor of love – to my mind, three of the best reasons to read a blog.If politics is your thing, American politics in particular, I’d say subscribe.
